The Liberty Bell is located at Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The bell first cracked on an initial test ringing in 1752. It was recast twice n 1753. The crack we see still today occurred in 1835. The bell was used to announce major events in earlier American colonial life such as Presidential election and deaths. The bell weighs just over a ton! It is 3ft in height and has a 12ft circumference around the bottom lip of the bell. It rings an E-flat.
