The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington,DC, has a sentinel guard 24 hours a day, every day of the year! It is an honor to be one of the sentinels for this duty. The Tomb contain the remains of unknown American soldiers from World Wars I & II, the Korean Conflict, and until 1998 – the Vietnam War. The guard does all movement base on the number 21, which represents the 21-gun salute. The 21-gun salute is one of the highest honors a military or foreign dignitary receives.
