Uncle Sam is a popular personification of the Unites States.The portrait for Uncle Sa,e was created by James Montgomery  Flagg for the cover of the July 6, 1916 issue of Leslie’s Weekly with the title “What Are You Doing for Preparedness?”  Since then Uncle Sam worn his patriotic red, white and blue outfit on posters during WWI and WWII, and is seen in patriotic parades such as the 4th of July.
